Mimi, Grampy & Braydon

Thankfully Mimi and Grampy are here to hangout with Braydon because I am bed ridden with my C section wound, barely able to walk. I don't know what I would do without them. They have been taking him to the park, Buzz Lightyear Space camps, Legoland, the zoo and on lots of fun outings. He LOVES Mimi. Grampy left for a couple days and Mimi took him to the Flower Fields where they got a bunch of lady bugs to release in our backyard. She buys him lots of presents too. He cuddles with her and watches movies and gets upset when she leaves the room. He absolutely adores her, it's sweet.

Braydon meets his little sister

On Thursday Braydon came to the hospital with Mimi to meet his little sister. He bought her a toy, a purse with a bear in it. We had Craig sit with the baby behind a curtain in the room and when Bray got there we unveiled his baby sister. He was SO excited to meet her and loves her! Almost overly loving! He always wants to hold her in his lap and will gently pat her head. He points to her ears and feet and hands and says "little feet". He tells you to be quiet when she's sleeping and gets upset when she cries. He says her name which is so cute. He'll yell "Baby sister Siena!" When she is in her swing he will rock her and sing "Rock a Bye Baby" which he knows all the words to. He is constantly giving her kisses on her head and tries to give her his toys to play with.

We are trying to work on Braydon not jumping or throwing objects near Baby sister. He's a bit hyper and doesn't fully understand how delicate she is but we will get there with him. He's going to be the best big brother, he's protective and loving already.

Siena Rose Schwarz - born March 20,2012

Our little princess is finally here! She went past her due date, cozy and not wanting to leave the womb so we went in for the scheduled C section on Tuesday, March 20th. We got to the hospital at 10am and went in for delivery at noon. By 12:47pm she was out. Mimi and Grampy and Aunt Wee Wee were all at the hospital to greet her. Grandma and Grandpa Schwarz came later because they were watching Braydon at our house.

She was 6 pounds 13 ounces and healthy as can be! She had an apgar score of 9 and was super alert and so beautiful! She has blond hair and looks a LOT like Braydon. The doctor said it was good we went with the C section because the cord was wrapped around her neck which would have made her heart rate drop in delivery pushing us to a rushed C section anyhow.

She is such an angel! A REALLY good baby. Mellow and calm, she rarely cries except when she gets her diaper changed and she sleeps a lot, at night she will go 4-5 hour stretches which is nice for Mommy and Daddy. She likes to sleep against Mommy though, she doesn't like her bassinet yet. I'm hoping when she gets out of the newborn phase that will change, Braydon was the same way. She is a cuddler and such a dainty little girl. She is pretty good about being set down and doesn't seem to get upset about much.

Craig and I feel so blessed to have such healthy and sweet children. She is the perfect addition to our family, we are on cloud 9 and I have fallen madly in love again. Her, Braydon and craig are my world and I am the luckiest Mom on the planet.

Siena's Nursery

With just 5 days left until Baby girl's due date we have finally completed her nursery. We are officially ready for her to come. I am pretty much finished with work, except having to go into Jack in the Box tomorrow for a quick hour or two, fridge and freezer are stocked, Baby swing is built and ready, car seat in car and bassinet in our room :)

With the nursery I did a sky blue paint on the walls and a Wildflower/Butterfly theme. Lots of bright colors.

I can't wait until she gets here, she has been getting the hiccups a lot in my belly which even Craig can feel which is cool. I feel Braxton Hicks contractions throughout the day. Braydon talks about her arrival a lot and talks about how he will share his toys with his baby sister Siena. He hugs and kisses my belly too which is so cute!

Waiting patiently for Baby Siena

I am almost 39 weeks now (in two days) and we are ready and excited for our little girls arrival. The nursery is nearly finished minus a few touches here and there, our hospital bags are packed, her car seat is ready, fridge is stocked and Braydon can't wait to meet her! He keeps hugging and kissing my belly saying "Hi Baby sister!" It's so sweet.

Braydon has Juvenile Asthma

Braydon has had a really bad dry cough and wheezing for the past month. He always seems to get this sort of thing after he catches a cold. We took him to the doc and he said it sounded like Juvenile asthma that can be triggered by allergies or a cold. That would make sense because there is so much pollen flying in the air right now. We got him a nebulizer and he has been such a patient and good boy with it. Every morning and night he sits still for 10 minutes while he holds it in his mouth and sucks in the medicine. He has gotten a lot better and hopefully we won't have to do this for too long. My Mom said that I had the same thing as a toddler at 22 months and it went away. Above is a photo of him with his nebulizer before

Playgroup Baby Shower for Siena

The girls from my Playgroup on Fridays threw a baby shower for Janae and I. Janae is due one day before me. They went above and beyond with decorations, gifts and yummy food. It is such a great group of women and kids that Braydon has become very close to.

Braydon in his new bed

Sometimes Braydon gets scared of "ghosts" and wants daddy or I to sleep with him in his new bed. Daddy slept an entire night with him the other night, it was very sweet. I captured these photos from the baby monitor.
