13 Months Old!

Braydon is 13 months old today! He has turned into a little man! He continues to crack me up and I fall more in love with him every day. He's started to copy everything Craig and I do.

MORE - He's very smart and picks up on things quickly. He now uses the sign language sign for more to tell me when he wants certain things. For instance if I'm sitting there and he wants to play with me he'll sign more, point at me and walk over and grab my hand. Or if he wants a toy that he can't reach he'll sign 'more' and point to the toy.

DANCING & SINGING - He still loves to dance and just recently has hummed along to a few songs.

GOGGY - He LOVES Monty and is always going up to him and giving him huge hugs while laying his head on his back, it's so sweet. I think Monty loves him just as much because Braydon loves to feed him Goldfish.

LIFE OF THE PARTY - Braydon is a social butterfly, whenever we are out and about he charms people. he is not shy at all. We were at the beach yesterday and he walked around to everyone at the beach smiling and waving and trying to share his sticks and rocks with people. At Stroller Strides he'll cruise around playing with all the kids and making his rounds.

EATING - He loves eggs, cheese, Goldfish and Salmon. And he loves to eat!

DRIVING - His favorite thing is to drive around in his electric car or on his fire truck. He cruises.

HUGS & KISSES - He is so sweet and affectionate, he gives Mommy lots of hugs and kisses.

Braydon's 1st Haircut

Brady got his first haircut last night and he HATED it! We went to this place called Adventure Cuts in La Costa. The place was amazing! They had individual cubes for each kid and Braydon got to sit in a Rocket Ship and watch a Disney movie while he got his hair cut. He loved it up until the woman sprayed his head with cold water and he lost it. He acted like se was cutting off a limb each time she made a cut. He did NOT like her touching him. Poor guy! He looks adorable though :) Hopefully next time he'll do a little better. They gave him a balloon at the end and a certificate.

Beach Day

The weather has been amazing lately so I decided to take Braydon to the beach. It's 80 degrees out in February! It was the first time we've been since he's been fully walking. He LOVED it! When we got there I took off his shoes and I think he tripped out a little on the way the sand felt on his bare feet because he kind of walked cautiously at first, then when he got used to it he took off running. He saw a piece of driftwood and picked it up right away trying to write in the sand with it, from then on it never left his hand until we were back in the car. As soon as he saw the ocean he charged straight for it, this guy has no fear! Thankfully Mommy was right by his side because as soon as his feet hit the water he kept going forward toward the waves, the cold water didn't bother him at all. He loved wading in the water and watching the waves crash. I would hold him while I went past my knees in the water so we could be closer to the waves and he would laugh really hard when one crashed near us, we played that game for a while. He was having so much fun that he looked me in the eyes and grabbed my face to plant a huge kiss on my lips. I live for those moments! Then he saw a flock of seagulls and went running after them. We played until the sunset and then he went running to our blanket making the sign for hungry so we went home to eat dinner :)

Sign Language

Braydon is such a fast learner! He picks up on things so quickly! In just a few minutes I taught him sign language for "more". He uses it all the time now, usually when he wants more Goldfish :) He also does high fives and knows how to point to his mouth. And lately he does this thing where he'll look me in the eye, grab my face with both of his little hands and plant a huge kiss on my lips, my heart melts!!!

Liliana's 2nd Birthday party

Braydon went to his future girlfriend Liliana's second birthday party on Saturday. Tracy and Adam did it up! It was a princess theme and they had a real princess there and bouncy houses as well as creative food (like Pixie Stix) and wings for the girls to wear and pirate swords for the boys. It's hilarious because Liliana's birthday is so close to Braydon's that she was super bummed when she went to Braydon's birthday a week ago because it was her understanding that only her birthday was celebrated in that time frame. We would sing Happy Birthday to her and she'd say "Lila's not Braydons!" So funny! The poor girl was scarred by Braydon over taking her birth month. We had a great time and Braydon loves all the kids and the toys. He went in a bouncy house for the first time and I swear that kid has no fear chip. He took a dive down the slide and somersaulted down, thankfully Momma was there to catch him! he also got to meet his new friend Morgan, Carter and Thomas' new baby girl, she is precious!

Clapping and waving

Braydon's new thing is clapping and waving. Whenever he gets excited he claps his hands, I also taught him how to high five. He waves hello and goodbye whenever he leaves or enters a room and whenever someone else enters or leaves the room too. He is also the biggest social butterfly. Every time we go to a restaurant he walks around the room smiling and waving at every table and hamming it up. I call it "working the room".

New Years Eve 2010/2011

We decided to join Grandma and Grandpa Schwarz out at the river for New Years weekend. It was a very relaxing and fun time. Great Godfather Gad was there too. We had yummy meals and Braydon had a blast playing with Monty and Roscoe. He loves driving his car around too, he could do that all day! We took lots of walks and spent some quality time together.

The Wilders and Greenes visit

December 26th Grandma & Grandpa Wilder and the whole Greene family came to visit to celebrate a late Christmas, Grampy's 63rd birthday and Brady's 1st birthday. We had the best time! On Sunday we went to Brigantine and got their famous fish tacos (Kim and Rick's favorite). On Monday we went to Legoland and Sealife. Braydon loved Legoland! We went on this huge jungle gym thing and he had a blast! His favorite was going through the tunnels. He also loved pushing the buttons in the Legoland Mini USA and watching how it made things happen. And of course Sealife is is favorite! On Wednesday for Grampy's birthday we went to the San Diego Wild Animal park which Braydon got a kick out of as well. On the safari tour he talked REALLY loudly, yelling "BLAH, BLAH, GA, GA!" every time our tour guide would talk. I think Braydon thought he was giving the tour. We opened lots of Christmas presents and Braydon got very spoiled with all the toys and books he got. He loved playing with his cousins Jake and Jesse, they were so good with him!

Christmas with the Schwarz's

We spend Christmas weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Schwarz's house with Great Grandma Irene, Aunt Cristin, Great Aunt Sandra and 2nd cousin Cody, Jennifer and Scott. We had a great time! On Christmas Eve Craig, Brady and I went to church and then we had a delicious dinner. On Christmas morning we woke up to an incredible breakfast Aunt Cristin made and opened presents. Brady got a rocking horse and tons of toys and clothes. The Purnells came over later on and we had a huge Prime Rib dinner. Braydon loved playing with the new puppy Roscoe (who's only 5 months old) and Monty. His favorite game was to crawl into Roscoe's crate with him and open and close the door. He'd also run around the room with one of the puppies toys and they would chase after him trying to get it from him.
