NYE Family Snow Day

There has been a ton of snow falling on the mountains so we decided to take a family day trip to Mountain High.  It was such a perfect way to spend New Years Eve!  Braydon had us play Jingle Bells over and over again while he sang along.  He couldn't wait to build a Frosty the Snowman.  We pulled off on the side of the road a hiked into the snow where we sled, built a Snowman, had a snowball fight and Braydon stood on Daddy's snowboard while he rode down a small hill.  There was a moment when all of us were sitting in the snow together eating an orange and Braydon told us how much he loved us and made us all give each other big kisses.  It was one of those moments where the world seemed like the most perfect and wonderful place and I couldn't have been happier or feel more complete.  I couldn't think of a better way to start the year 2013!

Christmas 2013 - Siena's 1st!

We celebrated Christmas all month as well.  We went to the tree lighting ceremony at Legoland, went to a tree farm to pick out our tree with Mimi, went to the Botanical Gardens Christmas Nights and watched a ton of Christmas movies.  Braydon was really into it this year.  He understood the concept of Santa and the Elf on a Shelf and LOVES Frosty the Snowman.  He would sing Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bells over and over and over.  It was pretty cute.  He would also sing the Beatles version of "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time).  He would try and peek at his presents and would be concerned if it got hot outside because he didn't want Frosty to Melt.  We got to see Santa twice.  Siena wasn't too fond of him but Braydon was eager to tell him he wanted a train set and a kitchen.

We spent Christmas weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Schwarz's in Yorba Linda (or as Brady calls them Grandpa and Grandpa).  It was a relaxing and fun weekend.  Braydon loved all of their decorations, especially the Santa that climbs the ladder and the band in the treasure box.  We went to Chuck E Cheese, the Steer Inn and played at the park.  On Christmas Eve we left cookies and carrots out for Santa and his reindeer and Braydon laid in bed telling me how excited he was for Santa to come and telling me what he wanted.  On Christmas morning he went running out and was so excited to open all his presents!

Brady turns 3!

Braydon's birthday was a month long celebration.  I think he got used to opening presents all the time.  It all started with Mimi & Grampy visiting the first week in December and we celebrated with presents and a cake.  Then Aunt Wee Wee came into town and we celebrated again!  She got him a fort which he is super into right now.

The big celebration was a weekend at Disneyland & California Adventure.  He was in heaven!  We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Schwarz's house so we could get a full weekend in.  On Saturday Aunt Cristin came with us.  Braydon was afraid of any rides at first and only wanted to go on the Buzz Lightyear ride which we went on several times, then he warmed up a bit and went on the rocket ships with Daddy.  He has a major obsession with all the Disney characters.  We went to this special Christmas village at Big Thunder Ranch and ALL the characters were there.  He sprinted after Goofy and got to see Mickey, Pluto and a ton of others.  We had dinner at the Big Thunder BBQ and then Bray wanted to go on the Buzz ride again.  We walked all the way to Tomorrowland and looked down at him passed out in his stroller with his new Zurg gun clutched in his arms.  That ended our fun day :)

The next morning ALL Braydon's friends came and mess us for a Disney character birthday breakfast at The Storyteller Cafe and then we all went to California Adventure.   Connor and Delaney Smith, Sophie, Zoe, Max and Caprice and all their parents were there, and the Winzens and Grandma and Grandpa and Cristin.  Brady went on the Toy Story Mania ride which he LOVED and the Monsters Inc ride and danced at a club with all the Disney Characters, Captain Hook being his favorite!  It was the best weekend!

On Braydon's ACTUAL birthday we went to Chuck E Cheese with Craig, Siena and I and Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Cristin.  He loved playing all the games and between all of us we got a ton of tickets so he was able to get a rocket launcher.

He is a very happy boy and I can't believe he is 3 already!  He is so funny and talks all the time.  He tells me often how much he loves us and gives big hugs.  He is the best little boy and we are so lucky!!!
