Siena's 1st Birthday Party

It was a sunny day and a ton of our good family and friends came over to celebrate our little princess turning one.  We had 75 adults and 32 kids show up, we are so blessed to have so many loving and caring people support our family.  Some even flew in for the event like Auntie Robin.  And several made long drives from LA and Orange County.  We had a bouncy house and a couple bubble machines for the kids to play with.  We had Phil's BBQ cater the event which is our all-time favorite restaurants.

Siena was the Belle of the Ball, walking around giving her biggest toothy smile to all the guests in her pretty pink rose dress.  And when it came time for her birthday cake is where she REALLY put on a show.  I have never seen a better one year old cake eating moment!  She dove into it and even took a swipe at Daddy's cheek trying to cover him in frosting.  She was sooo happy with her cake and ate the whole thing :)  She loved all her gifts she got too, especially all the dolls and this cool one where you hit wooden balls with a hammer.

Siena Rose is one today!

Our little princess is ONE already, time is flying by so fast!  She is the light of our lives and melts our hearts with her vampire tooth grin.  She's the coolest little one year old with so much spunk and personality.

WALKING - She has mastered walking now and runs most of the time, she likes to lead with her hand out in front of her and belly sticking out.

TALKING - She says Da-da, ma-ma, bwa-bwa for Braydon, daw for Dog, no-no-no, Ba-ba, yaaaa when excited and she claps her hands, whoa when she thinks something is really cool, and uh-oh

WAVING - She waves hello and goodbye

HER BROTHER - She loves Braydon and follows him around everywhere, she wrestles with him and gives him big hugs

MONTY - Another one of her favorites, she chases him around with her arm outstretched to him yelling Daw-daw-daw

DADDY - A total Daddy's girl to the core, she LOVES him!  Always following him around and backing up into him so he'll pick her up.  She gives him big open mouthed kisses too.

EATING - She is an eating machine!  She loves to eat anything she can get her nads on and goes "mmmm" with each bite as if savoring the flavor.

A MANIAC -  She is super active, ALL over the place!  She gets into every drawer and cabinet that opens and throws everything all over the place, she loves throwing balls and banging hammers and sticks on things

ATTITUDE - She knows what she wants and likes, she is usually very happy and laughs a ton but if she doesn't get something she wants watch out!  She has already thrown a couple tantrums which I still have never seen Braydon do.  She yells and cries and stomps her feet, pretty funny to see from a tiny girl.

TEETH - She has her incisors and two bottom teeth and we are starting to finally see her two front teeth coming in.  

Siena Rose - My little crazy girl

She is a wild one.  Now that she walks/runs she gets into EVERYTHING.  Whenever I'm changing her which she hates or she starts to throw a tantrum (yes, she throws kicking tantrums already- I know, we're in trouble), I sing her this song by Eli Young.  It's written about lovers in a fight but I think it fits our little girl:

Braydon-isms

Brady cracks us up, he says the funniest things and lately I have been trying to write them down so I don't forget.  Here are a few:

"When you kiss people it makes hearts appear"

"Let's go eat at Old MacDonalds"

"Ma, I gotta tell you, your one Dynamite Gal"

"Let's roll out of here guys"

"Mommy, did you dream last night?"
"Yes, did you?" - me
"Yes, I had dreams coming out of my ears!"

Braydon, a modern day Casanova

So Braydon is quite the ladies man at school.  He talks about these two girls Cindy and Caroline that he hangs out with a lot.  When I went to pick him up from school one day this little blond girl kept running after him down the hallway and hugging him.  He said that her name was Cindy, but at the time he talked mostly about Caroline.  Then when we were driving to the Farmers Market he told me that he and Cindy got married and they are husband and wife.

Then, the next week in the school newsletter Braydon got Quote of the Week.  See the attached picture.  So funny!!!!

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

Last Saturday night Brady and Daddy went on a Father/Son date to Yo Gabba Gabba Live at the Civic Center downtown.  Braydon dressed in his Brobee sweatshirt and they went out for Ice Cream before.  Craig said Braydon got really into it, dancing around and clapping.  Afterwards they got dinner.  

Brady is 3 years and 2 months old

Brady is a character!  He says and does the funniest things.  He dresses like a Power Ranger every day.  He loves to eat hamburger and french fries and his new favorite drive thru is Carl's Jr. which he calls Carlsbad Jr.

He can spell his name, count in Spanish and knows part of the Spanish alphabet.  He can dress himself and put on his own shoes and socks.  He loves playing with his friends but calls Daddy his Best Friend :)  He overly loves his baby sister and sometimes squeezes her in a big hug a little too tight.  He loves the movie Wreck it Ralph and to lay next to the fire while watching movies.  He loves to wrestle daddy and is really into Superheroes.

He has two Buzz Lightyear toys, a Woody doll and an Iron Man that he thinks move around and play while he is sleeping so daddy and I usually put them in fun places like Siena's ball pit or next to the snack jar.


He eats Bell Peppers like they are apples and can't get enough of Pistachios.  And he eats raw sushi with chopsticks.

Siena is 11 months old

Siena is 11 months old and growing into a very strong personality.  She is fully walking everywhere and is super independent.  We will be at the park and she will just walk around checking everyone out. She loves dogs and chases Monty around trying to feed him.  She gives big open mouthed kisses and claps her hands and cheers at everything.  She has a huge appetite and eats everything.  Her favorite lately is chicken nuggets and blueberries.  She has four teeth and skipped the front two teeth growing the incisors instead so she looks like a vampire.
