Brady and the older neighborhood boys

There is a group of about 8 older neighborhood boys that range in ages from 8-12.  They run around the neighborhood playing with Nerf guns and water guns.  Braydon loves to tag along with them.  He thinks he's one of the big kids and they are so sweet with him, including him in their game.  They even gave him his own gun to keep.  This past weekend Brady and I were playing outside and heard the boys running around next door.  He got super excited and said, "Mommy put my shoes on!  I go play with my friends!"  Then he grabbed his gun and ran after them.  They had teams and the oldest Jake made sure Braydon was participating and included him in it all.  they ran in and out of bushes hiding and in peoples front doorways.  They ran around for hours.  Braydon had the best time.  We went home for lunch and a nap and as soon as he got up from his nap, he ran outside again with his gun.  

Friday Playgroup

This past Friday it was my turn to host our Friday play group.  We had 9 Mommies and around 15 kiddos over.  We blew up the bouncy house and the kids all ran around playing together having a great time while the Mommies chatted and drank Mimosas.  It was a great time.  Everyone left around 1pm for the kids to all take their naps.  When Braydon woke up from his he ran downstairs and looked outside and said "mommy, where did my friends go?"  

Siena's 2 month check up

Our little girl weighs in at 10 pounds and is 22 inches long :)  She's in the 19th percentile, a petite little girl!

Ninja Go!!!

Clocking Daddy on the head with a Ninja

Brady and Daddy were playing in Brady's bed and Daddy took a Ninja to the dome, causing a pretty good gash on his head.  Brady said "I sorry Daddy!" and put a Cars bandaid on his head and gave him a big kiss to make it better.

Thumb sucker Siena

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.  Apparently Craig was a HUGE thumb sucker as a child.  Just like Daddy, Siena loves sucking her left thumb and no matter how much we try and stop her, she spits her paci out and dives right into her thumb.  She's persistent and stubborn like Daddy too ;)

Mimi's visit

Braydon and Siena had a ton of fun with Mimi on her visit here.  We picked Strawberries at the "U Pick It" place by our house.  Braydon LOVED it!  We walked up and down the rows of strawberries looking for the biggest and reddest strawberries we could find and placed them in a white container.

Mimi and I took Siena to a movie at Cinepolis in Del Mar.  We saw "Dark Shadows".  Siena did great!  She cuddled in my arms and ended up falling asleep halfway through.  She is such a sweetheart.  

  

We also went to Sealife and Legoland a few times.  Mimi bought him lots of legos, swords and a Black Ninja.   He was in heaven, spinning around with his sword yelling "Ninja Go!"

 Then Mimi and Braydon went to the Flower fields and got a huge container of ladybugs, 1500 of them!   They slowly let them go and played with them for days.  He tried to share some with Siena even :)

Ninjas at Benihanas

Mimi is visiting while Craig is away in Scottsdale for Jason's Bachelor party and we decided to go to Benihana.  Bray is so into Ninjas that we thought it would be fun to tell him that a Ninja was going to cook us dinner.  He was super pumped up about it, bringing all his Ninja toys with him and playing swords with the chopstix.  We ended up getting a sweaty, nervous Mexican named Jesus as our cook so it was a bit of a let down but Bray didn't seem to care.  The guy didn't really do any of the fun tricks the others usually do and even missed when he tried to flick the shrimp in his hat hitting the cook behind him.   It was pretty funny actually.  We had a blast anyhow and may have found Bray's new favorite restaurant. We sang Happy 65th Birthday to Mimi and had ice cream too :)  Siena just sat there silent and happy the whole time with wide eyes taking in all the sights and sounds.

Braydon is 2 years and 5 months old

Brady is growing up so fast!  He talks ALL the time now, narrating every move he makes "Mommy, I eat breakfast now?" , "Mommy I go downstairs"  , "I go outside and play swords"  And he knows what he wants and tells us all the time.  "Mommy, I don't want a shower, I want bath!"  Or "I don't like that Mommy, I want this"  And he says he Loves things all the time.  "I love raisins Mommy!"  or "I love pancakes!"

When I pick him up from school he will tell me about his day, what he did and who he played with.  "I saw worms today and played cars with Miles"  He tells us what to do a lot like "Daddy no talky Mommy, talk to Braydon!"  or  "Mommy, Baby sister is crying, get her!" or "Mommy, don't touch my army men!"

He is a very talkative back seat driver too.  "Daddy, green means go!  Red means stop!"  "Faster!"  We going up! (when we drive up hills)"  or "Look at the garbage truck Mommy!  I have one at home (referring to his toy dump truck)"

He sings a lot.  He knows his ABCs, sings Itsy Bitsy Spider and Baby Bumble Bee.  He can easily count to ten and sometimes beyond to 18.

He is REALLY into the Lego Ninjas (Ninjago) lately.  We told him if he went poo poo on his potty that he would be able to pick out any lego he wants at Legoland so he went and sat on the toilet pushing as hard as he could until he did it.  We took him to Legoland and he picked out a red Ninjago Ninja that he takes with him everywhere now!  He also likes to play swords with Daddy and says, "Daddy, you be Blue Ninja, I'm Green Ninja", or switched depending on what colors they are both wearing.  He's also been into super heroes lately, especially the Green Lantern.

He's so much fun!  Craig and I have the best time with him.

Braydon loves his little sis so much that he is sharing his favorite Red Ninja with her and reading her a Ninja book :)
