My 32nd birthday and Fathers Day

Craig got us a room at the Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach for the weekend.  The hotel was perfect!  Out room was right on the beach with a big balcony.  There was a mini kitchen in the room and plenty of space.  We got there on Friday and Jan and Jerry came to get the kids to watch them for the night so Craig and I could go out for my birthday just the two of us.  On Saturday Jan and Jerry came back with the kids and we had a fun beach day in front of our hotel.  Kim and Jake and Jesse came as well as the Chandlers and their three kiddos and Nicole and Loren and Baby Ella who is just a month older than Siena.  The weather was perfect.  Braydon made sand castles and played ball and Siena just napped and lounged on the lounge chair under an umbrella.  Braydon has a new found love for the beach now and ever since keeps asking to go.  He associates the water with his daddy surfing, dolphins and sharks.

Jan & Jerry took the kids again on Saturday night and we went to a Happy Hour at a place called the Deck (an outside bar on the beach at our hotel) for my birthday celebration with friends.  There were about 20 of us.  I had the best time!!  We slept in on Sunday (Father's Day), Craig surfed and we met Grandma & Grandpa Schwarz, Aunt Cristin and the kids for lunch at the Beach House.  We had a great lunch and Braydon entertained us all with his funny remarks.

Jan & Jerry said they had a great time with the kids, Siena was an angel and Braydon made them laugh a lot.  He would take showers every morning with Grandpa.  Also, Roscoe ate Braydon's pacifier.  We've been trying to break him of the habit so Grandma and Grandpa told him to throw it away and that Roscoe ate it and to say bye bye to it.   He asked for it when he got home and we told him Roscoe ate his last one.  He said "Oh no!  I'm going to go to Grandma and Grandpa's to get it!  You coming?" and I said "I think the trash man took it honey"  and he said "oh no!  Get another one!"  He's a crack up.

The Smiths Visit

The Smiths came to visit today and we had so much fun.  Connor is 2 months younger than Braydon and Delaney is 2 months older than Siena.  Chris is Siena's God Daddy :)  Connor and Brady ran around with each other playing Ninjas, Toy Story and bouncing in the bouncy house.  They wrestled too which was hilarious!  They both are talking a ton now so it's funny to hear their conversations.  Sharing is always a problem of course, especially when Buzz and Woody dolls are concerned.  Delaney is super smiley and laughs a lot and Siena had some smiles and giggles too.  Brady was so bummed out when they left, he cried that he wanted to go with them.

Sunday Fun Day

We had the best Sunday together as a family.  We started the day off going to church and grabbing breakfast at the restaurant at Palomar Airport where we watched planes fly in and out.  After Brady's nap we all went to Boomers.  Bray and Daddy played a round of miniature golf.  Bray loved it!  He would grab his ball and walk it down to the hole, place it a few inches from the hole and hit it in.  On the holes where you hit it into the mouth of a skeleton or a bridge he would pick it up and toss it in :)  After we played video games and tried to collect as many tickets as we could.  He earned a lot playing Skeeball.   He got a couple prizes with his tickets at the end.  Then we picked up some carne asada, ceviche, mango salsa and pollo from a great Mexican stand on the way home and BBQed.

Brady and the older neighborhood boys

There is a group of about 8 older neighborhood boys that range in ages from 8-12.  They run around the neighborhood playing with Nerf guns and water guns.  Braydon loves to tag along with them.  He thinks he's one of the big kids and they are so sweet with him, including him in their game.  They even gave him his own gun to keep.  This past weekend Brady and I were playing outside and heard the boys running around next door.  He got super excited and said, "Mommy put my shoes on!  I go play with my friends!"  Then he grabbed his gun and ran after them.  They had teams and the oldest Jake made sure Braydon was participating and included him in it all.  they ran in and out of bushes hiding and in peoples front doorways.  They ran around for hours.  Braydon had the best time.  We went home for lunch and a nap and as soon as he got up from his nap, he ran outside again with his gun.
