Braydon's 1st Baseball Game

We took Brady to his very first baseball game at in Anaheim to watch the Angels play the Red Sox. It was a 7pm game. It was Craig, Braydon and I and we had a blast! Braydon LOVED it! He is such a people person. He was so happy with all the cheering and people to watch and bright Jumbotron lights. He was laughing and babbling and jumping up and down. He would smile at everyone that would look his direction. He kept grabbing the shirt of guy that sat next to us and smiling real big at him. He did great! We stayed until the end of the 7th inning. Daddy can't wait to take him to more games!

Braydon is 7 Months old!

The time keeps flying by quicker and quicker and I feel like he's changing faster and faster! We were in Tahoe for most of his 7th month so it was fun to see him grow there. He is the happiest little boy and so much fun to be with. Every day is a blast.

TEETH - Braydon is definitely teething but still hasn't actually cut a tooth. I can see it trying to break through his gums but it hasn't come out yet.

CRAWLING – Brady is officially crawling now! He is all over the place. We are quickly trying to baby proof the house because he is a curious little bug. He will take off across the room for Monty’s basket of toys or over my leg and try and pull himself up.

STANDING - He loves to stand and his balance is amazing. At home he holds on to our ottoman, sometimes one handed and stands up the whole time, if he gets excited he’ll jump up and down, meanwhile grabbing at the coasters, magazines and anything else that he sees on the top of it. If he’s not strapped into his stroller he’ll grab the side and stand up, a little scary the first time I saw him do it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he walks soon.

OCTOPUS HANDS - You can’t leave anything within a few feet of him or it’s in his mouth. It’s hilarious; when we take him out to eat he’s grabbing menus, salt and pepper shakers, banging spoons on the table, all while laughing. We call him crazy monkey because he’s all over the place and cracks us up. He loves to bang on things and will talk the whole time while doing it. Maybe we have a future drummer on our hands?

TALKING – He talks all the time now. He says “Da-da-da” and “Blah-blah-blah” and shrieks and laughs really hard. He accentuates every sound by sticking his tongue out. He’ll also do this weird thing where he puffs out his cheeks while pursing his lips and blows out.

LAUGHS – He still has those adorable belly laughs and now smiles and laughs all the time. Monty has been cracking him up lately and any time he’s standing he loves it. He also loves to dance with Mom.

EATING – He loves bananas and avocados. He’s doing better and better with eating but gets really distracted when I try and feed him. He’ll look all around trying to grab the spoon out of my hand or grab anything that’s next to him. It makes a pretty messy experience.

BATH TIME – He’s been loving baths lately and needs to sit up in the tub the whole time while splashing with his hands and sucking on the wash rag. If he sees himself in the mirror he’ll smile. His hair gets super curly right after a bath like his Daddys.

THE MIRROR – He loves laughing at himself in the mirror, lately he’ll touch mirror and grin at himself, our little vane guy ;)

SLEEP – We have regressed in our sleep patterns, mainly due to traveling for the past 19 days. He now wakes up at midnight and 3am. Sometimes I’ll wake up and look in the monitor and he’s wide awake playing with himself in the crib. The last couple nights he's knocked down the camera for the monitor and has been pulling himself up on the side of the crib as if trying to make an escape. Daddy is planning on lowering his mattress.

TEMPERAMENT – He is a true comedian. He loves to be watched and entertain us. He is still very easygoing and playful.

PEEK A BOO – He loves to play peek a boo. It cracks him up.

LOOKS – He’s gotten a lot bigger, he’s got chubby little legs and arms. His eyes are still a bright blue and the back of his hair is curly like his Dads. I think he’s the most handsome little boy on the planet!

Braydon's Baptism

We Baptised Brady on Sunday, July 18th at The Queen of the Snows Catholic Church where we got married in Squaw Valley. We decided to Baptize him there because Tahoe is a very spiritual and meaningful place for us and especially this particular church because that's where we began our life together. Father Bob did the Baptism privately after the noon Mass. It was a very special ceremony. Braydon has two very special Godparents, Cristin Schwarz and Rick Greene. He is very fortunate to have the two of them watch over him. The Schwarz Family came up for the weekend, along with Great Grandma Irene to participate in such a special day in Braydon's life.

Braydon was so good the whole time. He never cried and would look the priest right in the eye when he was talking as if fulling taking in what he was saying. Afterwards we all went to lunch at Jake's on the Lake, including Father Bob. We celebrated with a delicious meal and toasted champagne. Father Bob told us that he has never met someone like Braydon and he truly feels like he is a special boy. He said he felt like God was looking at him through Braydon's eyes and that he is destined to become someone special. I couldn't agree more. I know Braydon will do amazing things with his life, I can just feel it!

Brady and Mom in Tahoe

Braydon and I stayed up in Tahoe for 19 days! We had the greatest time. We took stroller walks, played in the pool, went to the beach and got to spend a lot of quality time with the family. He grew sooo much in the time we spent up there. By the end of the trip he was sitting up easily, scooting around the ground and pulling himself up on the furniture. His new favorite thing to do is to pull himself to standing in his stroller, almost gave Mommy a heart attack the first time he pulled that maneuver though! His favorite thing to do was to play around on the lawn with all his toys surrounding him. He is the happiest little boy, always laughing and smiling. I really enjoyed the time we spent together up there!

I'm sailing!

Braydon went sailing for the first time in Tahoe with his Mom, Grandpa Wilder and Aunt Wee Wee and Chad. We sailed to Sunnyside from the condo. We did a second sailboat ride with Daddy. He had a great time. There is nothing more beautiful than a sailboat ride in Tahoe!

4th of July

Braydon spent his first 4th of July in beautiful Lake Tahoe with the Wilder family, the Greene's and the Steele's. He got to meet his new Baby cousin Dylan who I can tell he loves already :) We had a great long weekend full of sailing, hanging by the pool, long walks, bike rides, river rafting and tons of fun activities! Braydon went swimming for the first time and at first hated it because of the cold water but after a few times he ended up really liking the water. We went to the beach and he loved playing in the sand! His cousins Jessica and Jake loved babysitting him too. And he loved laughing with Auntie Kim.

Stroller Strides

Every Tuesday and Thursday Braydon and I go to this class called Stroller Strides at La Costa Resort & Spa. It's a GREAT workout and so much fun! A bunch of Mom's with kids ranging from 6 weeks old to 5 years old, push their strollers around, running from station to station. It's a killer workout and La Costa is a beautiful place to get out and do it. We run around the grounds, past water fountains and through the golf course. While the Mommies do their workout the kids are sung nursery rhymes and get bubbles blown at them. It's fun for everyone! At the end of the class all the Mommies gather on a big lawn area and do push ups, sit ups and stretching and the kiddos run around and play with each other. In Braydon's case we do tummy time on the blanket with the other babies his age. I've made a lot of friends in the class and it gives me something to look forward to every week.

6 month Stats

Braydon went to the doctor yesterday and he weighs in at 17 pounds and his length is 27 inches. Our little boy is growing!

Braydon and Monty

Braydon is really starting to take a big interest in his buddy Monty Dog. He's been staring at him and watching him with a lot of curiosity. He's started to grab at his feet, tail and nose now too. Monty is so great with him, he just lays there and lets Braydon do whatever, sometimes trying to lick the drool off Brady's face. These two will be best buds in no time!

Braydon is 6 months old today!

Our little love bug is 6 months old today and we couldn't be more in love! He has made our lives so much brighter and I'm so excited for a lifetime ahead of fun times with our little man. The last 6 months have flown by so quickly! It seems like yesterday he was kicking around in my belly. Here's a quick overview of what's been going on with our guy at 6 months:
TEETH - Today I noticed his first little tooth popping through on the bottom. I've noticed he's been chomping on everything in sight and this just verifies that he has been teething!
MOVEMENT - Everyone says he's advanced for his age in this category. He's been sitting up on his own for a while now, grabs at everything within a few foot radius and if there's something across the room he'll manage to worm his way over to it. He's on the verge of crawling, I give it a couple weeks. He's already getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. He loves to be on his stomach and we call him turtle because sometimes we'll walk in his room and his little head is poking up over the side of his crib or playpen looking at us. He loves to stand too, he's a strong little guy. He can hold himself up on our coffee table, we are trying to encourage him to crawl first because at times he seems just as close to walking.
LAUGHS - He LOVES to laugh! His Dad makes him laugh really hard all the time, just by looking at him! His huge toothless smile is the funniest, he is such a happy baby. He rarely cries and if he does it's usually for good reason like he's starving or bumped his head.
BOUNCING - He loves to bounce. Even when he's not in his bouncy he's jumping up and down.
EATING - I'm still mainly breast feeding but we have also introduced him to rice cereal and he loves avocados.
MR GRABBY HANDS - His favorite is when he sits in his Bebe Pod chair on the counter while Mommy prepares dinner. He'll grab at everything! The spoon I'm stirring with, the flour jar, bananas, whatever is within reach. And he LOVES paper. He rips the pages out of magazines while I'm reading them and the page goes straight to the mouth. He also has an obsession with remote controls and phones (typical boy).
SLEEP - He goes to bed at 8:30pm and sleeps until around 3am, then goes back to sleep until around 7 or 8am. He loves to sleep on his stomach. It's hilarious, sometimes I'll look in our monitor and Braydon's head is filling the screen, wide eyed looking straight into the lens, who knows how long he's been up for but he'll just be wide awake playing with himself in the crib. And he'll wrestle with his bear blanket. So funny!
TEMPERAMENT - He is still a super easy and mellow baby. He is pretty energetic and loves to play, hardly ever fusses, we can take him anywhere with us and he lets anyone hold him. He loves to people watch and is really attentive when someone is talking that's in the room. He'll look straight at you and make eye contact like he's attentively listening. He likes to fight naps and gets pretty hyper, we think he got that trait from his Daddy :)
BABBLE - He is a great communicator, he talks a lot, shrieking when excited and giving lots of goos and gees. He grunts a lot too.
LOOKS - We have no clue what color hair he will end up having because it's an array of colors right now, brown, blond and a tint of red. His eyes are still an ocean blue and his eyelashes are incredibly long! He always gets compliments on his eyelashes. He looks exactly like his Daddy, although we aren't sure if he got the famous dimples yet. He doesn't seem to have them so far but sometimes when he smiles real big it looks like there could be a hint of them there.

Craig's 1st Fathers Day

We celebrated Craig's very 1st Father's Day this weekend! It was a perfect weekend. On Saturday night we went for a walk with Braydon and Monty on the beach in Carlsbad and got dinner on the patio at Dini's by the Beach where we watched the sunset and ate yummy oysters. On Sunday we went to church, where Braydon LOVES to people watch and I made a big breakfast after. Then we decided to head to the beach for Braydon's very first day at the beach! We had a blast watching Daddy surf and watching the waves and people walk by. Braydon is the cutest little guy and Craig and I feel so blessed to have him in our lives. Parenting has been so much fun and I cherish every second of it. Braydon lights up our lives with his big toothless grins and it's adorable how much he watches Craig and gets excited when he enters the room. Craig is such a great Dad, full of so much love for Braydon and I (and Monty!).

Our little Laker fan

The Lakers are playing the Celtics in the NBA Finals and Braydon has been showing his support by wearing his Kobe jersey every game!

Brady meets Great Grandpa Wilder

We flew up to Spokane, Washington for the weekend so Braydon could meet Great Grabdpa Wilder and the Elmers. Braydon did GREAT on the plane as always, he just loves to people watch! We flew in on Saturday June 12th and celebrated Grandpa's 93rd birthday at the Elmers with a BBQ. Grandpa LOVED Brady, he was amazed at how attentive and alert he was. He said he was going to be a smart little boy. On Sunday we visited the floating green in Coeur d'Alene and then hungout with Grandpa and watched the Laker game at the Elmers. Grandpa told a story about how he knew a jockey named Braydon that rode some winning horse a long time ago. We had a great time listening to his stories :)
